Email Reputation

Email reputation is a critical factor in ensuring your event communications on EventBookings reach attendees’ inboxes and drive engagement. A strong reputation enhances deliverability, builds trust, and boosts ticket sales, while a poor one can send your emails straight to spam. Let’s explore what email reputation means, why it drops, its impacts, and how to maintain a stellar score for your events.

What is Email Reputation in EventBookings?

Email reputation in EventBookings refers to the credibility of your email activity when sending communications (like Order confirmations, Invitations, Email Campaigns etc.) through our platform. It’s a score that reflects how trustworthy your emails appear to inbox providers (like Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.).

A strong email reputation helps ensure your messages land in inboxes instead of being flagged as spam. EventBookings continuously monitors email sending behavior to maintain high deliverability and protect the integrity of our platform for all users.

What Causes the Reputation Score to Reduce?

Several factors can contribute to a drop in your email reputation score:

  • High bounce rates: Sending to invalid or non-existent email addresses.
  • Spam complaints: Recipients marking your email as spam.
  • Unverified or suspicious email addresses: Using an email address that isn’t properly authenticated.
  • Frequent or bulk email blasts: Sending too many emails in a short period without proper targeting or segmentation.
  • Unsubscribed recipients – Contacting people who haven’t explicitly opted in.
  • Email blocks – Emails being blocked by recipient servers.
  • Suspicious link sharing – Including harmful or misleading links in your emails.

Effects of Reputation Going Down

When your email reputation decreases, you may experience:

  • Lower deliverability: Emails may land in recipients’ spam or junk folders.
  • Temporary sending restrictions: EventBookings may limit your email-sending capabilities to protect platform integrity.
  • Account suspension: In extreme cases, continued poor reputation may lead to account review or suspension.

Best Practices for Keeping a Good Email Reputation

To maintain a strong email reputation on EventBookings, follow these best practices:

  • Collect opt-in emails only: Always get permission before emailing someone.
  • Verify your email list: Regularly clean your email list to remove inactive or invalid addresses.
  • Send relevant content: Target your audience with messages that matter to them.
  • Limit email frequency: Avoid overwhelming your audience with too many emails.
  • Monitor engagement: Track open and click rates, and adjust your strategy based on performance.

What Should You Do If Your Reputation Drops?

If your email reputation score drops, you may receive a warning banner within your EventBookings account. In severe cases, your ability to send emails may be restricted or your account may be temporarily disabled.

If you receive a warning or believe your email sending ability has been affected, please contact our support team immediately at contact@eventbookings.com.
