How to Create a Timeslot Event

A timeslot event allows you to set specific time intervals for bookings, making it ideal for appointments, workshops, or limited-capacity events. With EventBookings, you can configure custom timeslot, block out unavailable times, and set a notice period for better event management. Follow the steps below to create and manage a timeslot event.

Step 1: Log in to Your Account

  • Log in to your EventBookings account.
  • If you don’t have one, create a new account.
  • Click Create Event and select your organisation.

Step 2: Add Event Details

  • Enter the event name.
  • Add the event venue address.
  • From the Event Repeat drop-down menu, select Timeslot Event.

Step 3: Configure Timeslot

  • Add the event date, start time, and duration intervals between timeslot.
  • Click the Add Slots button to set your weekly available hours.

Timeslot Settings

  • Custom Timeslot: Enable this option to create custom timeslot for specific days. Custom timeslot overrides the default timeslot.
  • Block Timeslot: Block specific times, dates, or date ranges to make them unavailable for booking.
  • Notice Period: Set a notice period before and after your event to allow preparation time. During this period, bookings will be restricted.

Step 4: Finalise the Timeslot Event

  • Set the timeslot end date or specify the number of days the event will run.
  • Click the Save button to update the event.

Editing Slots of The Event Occurrences

If you want to make changes to your timeslot event’s occurrences, follow these steps:

  1. Edit an Occurrence
    • Click on the pen icon next to the occurrences you created (e.g., 2 occurrences created or 10 occurrences created)
    • From here, you can update details for that specific occurrence.
    • You’ll also see the option to Copy from Other Date, which allows you to duplicate settings from another date.
  2. Edit Slot
    • To apply changes to slot, go to the Edit Occurrence menu.
    • Assigned Tickets: You can assign multiple or specific ticket types to each slot. Different prices can also be set for different slots.
    • Capacity: By default, capacity is unlimited. However, you can set limits (e.g., 10, 20, or 30 tickets per slot) as needed.
