Guide to configure EventBookings Plugin

How to install the Plugin

1. Download the Plugin – Ensure you have the plugin’s ZIP file ready for installation.

2. Upload the Plugin

• Go to ‘Plugins’ from the WordPress dashboard menu.
• Click ‘Add New’ and then ‘Upload Plugin’ at the top.
• Click ‘Choose File’ and select the provided ZIP file.
• Click ‘Install Now’ to install the plugin.

3. Activate the Plugin

• After installation, click the ‘Activate’ button to enable the plugin.
• Once activated, a new menu item “EventBookings” will appear in the WordPress dashboard.

How to run backend Functionality (Admin Panel)

1. Access the Plugin

• Once activated, go to “EventBookings” in the menu bar.
• You will see two options: “Events” and “Settings”.

2. Configure Settings

• Click on ‘Settings’ under the EventBookings menu.
• Enter your Client ID and Client Secret (required for fetching events). Click here to know about how to get client ID and secret.
• Save the settings to link your account.

3. Manage Events

• Click the “Events” button to view all events associated with the provided Client Secret.

The event list will display key details:

• Event Name
• Start Date
• Ticket Price
• Number of Sold Tickets
•  Event Creation Date

4. Each event has an Activation Toggle on the right.

• Click the toggle to activate an event, making it visible on the frontend.
• You can also bulk activate multiple events at once.

How to run frontend functionality (Displaying Events on the Website)

1. Add Events to a Page

• Go to ‘Pages’ in the WordPress dashboard.
• Insert the shortcode [eventbookings_events_shortcode].

This will display all activated events in a structured listing.

2. Customize Event Display

• Go to ‘Settings’ under the EventBookings menu.
• Navigate to “Customise Event Display” settings.
• Adjust various display options to control how event details appear on the frontend.
