Best Practices for Successful Events

We have seen some common patterns in the bestselling events on our platform. These events generally follow the comprehensive instructions by EvenBookings to make them more professional and reliable. Here are the best practices successful events follow.

High-Quality Event Banner and Thumbnails

The first thing ticket buyers notice is the event banner. So, having a high-quality event banner is important to make the event look professional and reliable.

At EventBookings, we require certain criteria for a banner image:

  • Recommended image resolution 1250×572 px
  • Maximum file size 10 MB
  • Supported image files JPEG or PNG

You can update your banner in the Event Details section of your event dashboard. There’s also an option to bring your thumbnails for your event. Thumbnails can be different from the event banner.

LandscapeUpload event card images as PNG or JPEG; we recommend 300 KB, 298 x 180 px image.
PortraitUpload event card images as PNG or JPEG; we recommend 300 KB, 210 x 358 px image.

You can update the event banner from the Information page under the Event Details section of each event dashboard.

By default, the banner works as a thumbnail. But you can add a custom thumbnail for your event. You can set the thumbnail in two ways:

LandscapeUpload event card images as PNG or JPEG, we recommend 300 KB, 298 x 180 px image
PortraitUpload event card images as PNG or JPEG, we recommend 300 KB, 210 x 358 px image

Event Description, Text, Image, Video

The next thing ticket buyers look at is the Event Description. In this section, pay attention to writing what your event is about and include all the information you think is important for your event. Please keep the language clear and crisp so the readers don’t feel lost; it increases trust.

You can update the event description from the Information page under the Event Details section of each event dashboard. At EventBookings, you can decorate your event description in multiple ways.

While configuring tickets, adding a ticket description is always a good idea. It provides extra information to ticket buyers regarding the ticket they intend to purchase.

Promotion and Engagement

After creating your event, promote the event and engage with your audience.

EventBookings has handful features to promote an event. Here is how you can promote your event.

Running email campaigns to communicate with your attendees makes the relationship between you and your attendees warmer and more faithful. You can run campaigns for pre-sale announcements, ticket sale reminders, event updates, and post-event surveys.

The email campaign is a powerful tool for promoting events and selling tickets on EventBookings. It allows you to reach a large audience with targeted and personalised messages, and it’s a relatively cost-effective way to market your event. Here is how you can create and run email campaigns.

Public Organiser Profile

Customers feel reliable when they can contact the event organiser for their queries. Contacting the organiser is possible if the organiser’s profile is made public. So, it’s best to keep your organiser profile public at EventBookings.

Organiser Profile Page empowers you to showcase your expertise, craft outstanding events, and connect with your audience. Your profile is your canvas to paint your vision, featuring your upcoming events, a glimpse into your past successes, and all the tools you need to create an unforgettable experience. Here is more about crafting Organiser Profile.

Adding Payment Methods

Selling tickets and getting paid for the events are the main objectives of the organisers. EventBookings provides two payout methods to accommodate organisers’ location and payment processing preferences:

  • EventBookings payment processing
  • Stripe

Setting up the payment methods beforehand is recommended so you can avoid last-moment hassles.
