Session is a fundamental component that defines how an event is organised. It represents a specified time block dedicated to a particular activity or content segment during the event. Each session is rigorously timed, commencing and concluding at predetermined intervals to ensure a seamless event flow.

Add sessions

To Let You Know: If you want to sell events as sessions, enable the Sell Sessions toggle from the top right side. To enhance your event’s appeal, utilise the session feature. With this capability, you can assign distinct tickets to various sessions, effectively customising the event experience for your attendees.

To add a session to your event:

Go to your organisation dashboard.
Select events from the left panel and click on the event to which you want to add a session. You will get directed to the event dashboard.
Go to sessions under more options in the left panel.
Enable “My event has multiple sessions” if it’s disabled. Skip this step if you already have it enabled.
Click + Add Session.
You must fill out the following information to create a session:

Start Date & Time	October 30, 2023, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Duration	1 hour 30 minutes
Description	Add an informative text that describes your session and is viewed by the visitors on the event details page.

To Let You Know: This session will be posted to your event’s details page and available to all participants. Please remember that although each session does have its banner, description, and timings, all tickets are universal, which means that a single ticket owner gets access to all sessions together.

Sell Your Event as Sessions

Attendees can have the option to purchase single-session tickets for your event. Each session can be configured with its dedicated ticket, allowing attendees to pick and choose the specific sessions they’d like to attend.

How are sell sessions different from recurring events?
Sessions are parts of a single event, while recurrent events are separate events with the same information and tickets. Thus, a recurring event represents different dates of the same event with the exact tickets and sessions offer different instances of the same event with different tickets.

Create Sell-able Sessions

You can create a session from your event dashboard. Make sure to toggle on Sell Sessions from the top right corner. Each session can be customised according to your preference by adding individual names, banners, descriptions and tickets. This information will appear below the description of the event details page. Attendees will be asked to select sessions before proceeding to select tickets.

Important Note: You must associate tickets with each session. However, you can create sessions without tickets but won’t be able to sell them.

To add one or more sessions to your event:

Go to your event dashboard.
Go to sessions under the more options category.
Enable “Sell Sessions” if it’s disabled. Skip this step if you already have it enabled.
Click Add Session.
You must fill out the following information to create a session:

Select the tickets you want to sell with the session. You can select the same tickets for multiple sessions.

Click save to add a new session to the event.

Sell Sessions with Recurring Events

Remember to keep your session’s date & time within the duration of the recurrences. If your event’s date and time belong outside of the recurrence’s duration, it will not be created.

You can create one session and add it to all the recurring dates or select specific recurring dates also. Go to the Create Session and choose your desired recurring dates from there.

Purchasing Sessions

Attendees will be offered to select their desired sessions before purchasing tickets from the event page. They will be able to purchase tickets from multiple sessions in single checkouts.
